This took me SOOOOOO long. I almost don't even want to sit at a computer long enough to write a new Journal. I feel like I've been doing nothing for a month but work on Crow Girl.
But I absolutely HAD to finish it last night, because it was for *mizzd-stock's contest, and the deadline is today. (And there was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to put all that effort into it and not submit something halfway decent to her contest. I might have submitted it unfinished, if I'd had to. Luckily, I did not. So, we'll see how it goes--wish me luck, I'd like to at least be a "runner-up".

I got the idea for the Crow Girl from Charles de Lint's characters--I particularly recommend the Onion Girl for the Jillybilly/moosefulness scene and Widdershins for the scene where the Raven tells the Crow Girls how Joe died, as getting to know the Crow Girls readings--but, of course, Charles de Lint borrowed the idea of Crow Girls and buffalo men, etc., from myths. So.

My feature today includes Crows and Crow-Girls. Check them out, they're amazing!!

edit: Beta-Tester feature = portfolio. Check mine out:
Folio 1

Feature: Crows and Crow-Girls
Read Charles de Lint for the best Crow-Girls EVER!

Why yes, I am suffering, thank you for asking!

What if I'm a crowded desert
Too much pain, with little pleasure?
What if I'm the nicest place you'd never want to go?
What if I don't know who I am,
Will that keep us both from trying
To find out and when you have, be sure to let me know.

What if I'm a snowstorm burning?
What if I'm a world unturning?
What if I'm an ocean, far too shallow, much too deep?
What if I'm the kindest demon,
Something you may not believe in?
What if I'm a siren, singing gentlemen to sleep?
What If, Emilie Autumn

Sorry for the crazy-long wait ... blah ... no internet sucks. I'm either going to start abusing my CD-RWs or I'm gonna buy an internet card for my laptop so I can take that to libraries and other internet-friendly places so I can send a deluge of artwork

Hmm ... yeah, I can kinda see that being hard to find, I don't think anyone has anything like that just lying around ... maybe check with digital #D background makers?

I have such a problem finding stock, too. No one ever does indoors shots. I wanted one of a library scene, with some chairs around. Everyone does outdoor shots, and they're good, I guess, but everything does NOT happen outside.
